DanaWaldieAs a Miss Busy in the Biz on the go, sometimes you will get that “stress bolt” of a pimple right before a meeting , audition, or worse yet a BIG date—oy! Do not fret my beauty, I am here to teach you how to combat those unwanted friends (i.e. PIMPLES!). And the good news is, it’s extremely attainable-all ingredients used can be found in your kitchen and medicine cabinet. Yes! Thanks mom for teaching me the rules of domestication to actually have peroxide and a Band-Aid on hand. First thing first, get your supplies in order. You will need:

Ingredients Needed:

  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  •  Natural Toothpaste (you can find at local Whole Foods – or, any health food store)
  •  Tea Tree Oil (1 drop)
  •  Q-tip
  •  Spoon
  •  1 tbsp. Oatmeal  (precooked)
  •  Small Dish
  •  1/2 Tablespoon of  Honey
  •   Lemon (natural skin lightener)
  •   Aloe Vera leaf  (cut a small piece)
  •  Band-Aid
  • Cotton Pads (5-6)

Step 1: Disinfect the pimple and area surrounding, with hydrogen peroxide. Pour the hydrogen peroxide on a cotton pad and simply swipe over the infected area.

Step 2:Treat the infected area. Take a drop of toothpaste, 2 drops of tea tree oil, and mix together using a cold spoon. I recommend using a cold spoon because the coolness from the spoon provides a soothing effect. Allow the mixture to sit 5-10 minutes, and then remove with warm water.

Step 3: Mask the area. Mix 1 tbsp. of pre-cooked oatmeal, ½ tbsp. honey, a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon and mix together. The oatmeal acts like a vacuum and sucks up the yucky dirt and oil in the skin. Honey acts as a natural disinfectant, while lemon acts as a natural skin lightener. Allow the mixture to sit anywhere from 5-10 minutes.

Step 4: Sooth & re-nourish. Cut a small piece from an aloe vera leaf, slice the leaf in half, place the flesh side on the blemish and cover with a Band-Aid. The juice from the aloe sucks up the bacteria and acts like an at home Biore strip. Sleep with this overnight; remove in the am, and voila! You have yourself a “stress bolt pimple” free face!
