You’ve just moved to a big city and you want to audition, take acting classes, get new headshots, take voice lessons, look professional, move into an apartment etc.  Well, sometimes acting/singing/dancing gigs don’t pay all of your bills, and we all have times where we’re just not working in the industry because of XY or Z. I had three days to find my apartment in LA.  The best advice I can give is to reach out to everyone you know to find out which areas are best.  Ask family members, friends, friends of friends, Google, anyone who has lived in the general area.  My mother’s friend’s daughter told me of Sherman Oaks (a place I didn’t even know existed), and low and behold, that’s where I found my apartment.  She said it was very up and coming, lots of great restaurants, affordable, clean, etc. etc.  She was spot on.  I lived on Dickens Street, and as…

I am sure a lot of us in “the biz” have felt like wandering souls at one point (possibly all the time).  We’ll try everything.  The West/Best/East/Left/South coasts – singing, acting, dancing – bartending, LOTS of bartending, school, more school… we are in and out of it all trying to find our “path.”  I’m here to tell you 1.)
