30 Days 30 Workouts: Day 5 – Chandler Bikeway in Burbank

I literally can’t lift my legs to get into my car, let alone, take another workout class.  So I decided to grab my bestie and my dog and take a walk in Burbank.  The Chandler bikeway is 2 miles long and goes from Mariposa to Clybourn.  You can park almost anywhere and it’s free.  The boulevard offers nicely manicured lawns and public artwork.  I love that I’m not confined to a time frame or emptying my pocketbook.

I’m getting older and I’m overweight and my body is not bouncing back like I want it to.  But sitting on my couch watching re-runs of “The Real Housewives” is not going to make me feel any better.  I have to accept that a walk is a workout, too.  It’s definitely better than nothing.  I wore my fitbit, a new fangled pedometer, and by the end of the day it clocked almost 6 miles.  Not bad for a walk.

If you want more information about the bike path go to .
